About the BSMRM:
The Museum is a non-profit organization operated by unpaid volunteers. We are open to the public during Open House train shows which we have a few times each year. These are the best times to visit as we will have all the three layouts in N, HO and O scale in top shape and running lots of trains for your enjoyment. We also offer the chance for people see the work of the volunteers on select Wednesday nights. Finally we are also offering a new General Membership for people who want to support the work of the museum to promote the hobby of model railroading in the Boston area. General members also have additional benefits.

May 5th Special Open House Train Show Is Now SOLD OUT
Thank you for your interest! Our Special Open House is now sold out. We look forward to seeing all of you on May 5th. If you did not get a ticket, never fear, we will have a two day Open House the weekend before Thanksgiving. Sign up for our email list using the Subscribe form at the bottom of this page and we will notify you when tickets become available.
Announcing the new “General Membership” for friends of the BSMRM!
The BSMRM is pleased to announce the introduction of a new “General Membership” program. This membership is intended for people who are not necessarily interested in joining as full museum staff members but would like to support the work of the museum to promote model railroading in our community and to gain access to unique benefits including:
